Mortal Kombat (2021) Synopsis, Plot Summary
Mortal Kombat tells of MMA fighter Cole Young, used to getting beaten for money, not knowing about his family legacy or why the emperor of Outworld Shang Tsung sends his best fighter, Sub-Zero, an ice controller from anothehr world, tp hunt cole.
Worried for his family's safety, Cole looks for sonya Blade based on intructions from jax, a special forces major who has the same dragon symbol as the symbol cole had since childhood.
Quickly, he finds himself in the temple of Lord Raid, an Elder God and protector of the Earthrealm, who provides refuge for those with dragon symbols. Here, Cole trains with experienced fighter Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Kano mercenaries, as he prepares with the Earth's strongest champions against the enemies of the Outworld in a high-stakes battle for the universe.
